Bachelor Recap For 1/18/21

By Kim Carr Jan 19, 2021 | 10:54 AM
Last night we picked up where we left off last week. Sarah just passed out during the rose ceremony. Matt ended up taking some time to talk with her and make sure she was alright. Sadly we ended up seeing Alana, Illeana, Kristin, Sydney and Marylynn go home.
Group Date
Turns out Chris Harrison is more than just a love reality show host. He has also written a love/romantic novelist. So the date was all about the girls getting “uncomfortable, yet a little more comfortable.” The women had to write a chapter that would be in a love novel. Then they had to read them outloud to the audience, which happened to be the other women in the house that were not on the date. Let’s just say things got interesting. The girls then got to spend more time with Matt talking one on one. Sadly Kate ended up getting interrupted by Sarah who wasn’t even on this date. The other women were really upset that she couldn’t wait to talk to Matt till te next day. Matt did take time to talk with Sarah about what she was feeling and reassured that he really felt strongly about her.
To me Sarah is just not in the right mindset to be on the show. She has a lot of things going on and I don’t think she fully understood how this process works.
The next day Matt came to talk with the women about the night before but before he left for his one-on-one date with Serena he noticed that Sarah was not there. So he went to go find her still napping. Matt told her that he would comfort her every day if needed… personally that is not a good sign in a relationship.
One-on-One Date
Matt and Serena went horseback riding. They talked over a picnic. The date then ended with some bubbly in the hot tub. She did walk away with a rose. It really was a low key drama-less date.
While the date was going on another date card showed up. Sarah though was no where to be found, this of course didn’t sit with the other women. They noticed that she had been missing all day. Then just before the next date card was about to be read, she sneaks in trying not cause a scene. She did try to apologize to the house, but it didn’t work.
That then lead Sarah to make a choice to leave. She figured out that she was just not cut out for this show anymore. Plus the fact that she needed to go back home and take care of her dad. She told Matt and she cried in the car as she was on her way home.
Next week we find out that more women are going to be added into the mix. Of course that doesn’t sit well for the rest of the women. One of them even shows up with a crown, we will see how Queen Victoria feels about that.
