Bachelorette Recap 12/15/20

By Kim Carr Dec 16, 2020 | 1:30 PM
Hometown dates happened last night, but in a new way. Instead of all the traveling to their hometowns to meet the families. The families came to them at the resort.
Brendan brought the carnival to the resort. His niece Ailyah joined them as they played ring toss and jumped in a bouncy house. Tayshia and Brendan have both been married before and want to start a family, and Ailyah was a chance for them to show off their parenting skills. Brendan’s older brother Daniel and sister-in-law Christie joined the party later on, and Daniel assured Tayshia that Brendan’s ready to walk down the aisle again.
Zac brought Tayshia to his “hometown” of New York by creating a little “set” of NYC complete with a skyline backdrop, a New York slice, and a lesson on how to order bagels. Then Tayshia met his brother Matthew, dad Douglas and mom Beatrice, which went well. One thing is clear, Zac and Tayshia are falling for each other – and she’s giving him a whole new perspective on what he wants in the future… like kids.
Ivan’s four-year-old niece Kehlani filmed a video teaching him and Tayshia how to make a traditional Filipino dish. It was an adorable date, and they definitely got closer trying out the recipe. Then Ivan’s parents came to Palm Springs, a big deal since his dad suffers with major health issues. Ivan’s mom admitted she’s still a “skeptic” about their speedy romance, but the dad was “impressed” with Tayshia.
Ben took Tayshia rollerblading and for some wellness shots. They had some fun at a recreation of the Venice Beach boardwalk before Tayshia met Ben’s sister Madeline. Madeline promised her that Ben isn’t hiding anything, that it takes him a minute to open up. But when it came time for him to confess his love for Taysia… he tragically chickened out.
And guess what, that cost Ben his place in the competition. At the rose ceremony, Tayshia had a hard time choosing who to send home since the dates all went so well. Ultimately, it was Ben’s shyness that cost him a rose… he was sent home.
Next week we are down to the final two episodes. Fantasy suite dates and then we will find out if anyone will get down on one knee.
