Be Heard In The Empty Baseball Stadiums This Year

By Kim Carr Jul 22, 2020 | 3:40 PM
This has been the longest year with sports not being played for most of the year. However, we are slowly starting to get back some of our sports now.
4 months later we are finally getting Opening Day of baseball. I have to say I’m pretty bummed that I can’t be in the stadium to cheer on my Brew Crew this year. Brewer fans aren’t the only ones that aren’t going to be in the seats this year, stadiums all over will be empty. The players won’t get to hear our cheers and jeers this year….. or at least they thought.
Thanks to the MLB they are launching a feature on Opening Day that will allow fans to interact with their team’s games on the websites, gameday app and on social media.
Turns out scoreboard operators will receive live fan reactions allowing the operators to adjust the type of fan noise that will be pumped into the stadiums for the players.
While there will not really be “boos” they will offer different types of cheering and anticipation sounds.
