The kids were stuck inside all winter, and the moment it gets nice out, they want to be outside. I mean who doesn’t want to be outside in the sunshine all day during the summer. But, we also have to make sure that they are covered in sunscreen so they don’t get burnt. Parents, you know it can be pretty tricky getting the sunscreen on kids. They don’t want to sit or stand still, they just want to go go go.
While there are some products out there to help you make sure that you are getting them covered, like colored sunscreen (almost looks like you are putting paint on them until you rub it in).
Leave it to one mom to come up with the Sunscreen Dot Method.
Use your index finger to apply dots all over them.
1 on the nose, 2 on each cheek, 3 across the forehead.
5 on their arms (don’t forget to do the front and back of the arms)
10 on the legs. (5 on the front and 5 on the back)
Then once you have all the dots places start rubbing them in. For the face you may want to lightly drum your finger pads all around their face to spread them and getting the whole face covered.
