How Moms Can Have A Break This Mother’s Day

By Kim Carr May 6, 2020 | 1:47 PM
Mother’s Day is Sunday. For the last couple of months the kids have been around non-stop. If you want to give mom a little bit of a break for Mother’s Day this year. There are some things you can do for mom that will give her a break from this kids for a bit.
  • Give ‘em what they want: Screen time – If you have time limits and rules for your kids’ screen time, this is the time to break them. There’s nothing wrong with a little extra time to play video games or watch TV and depending on your family’s set-up, it may be your only option to keep them entertained so you can catch a break for an hour.
  • Have mandatory “do what you want as long as you’re quiet time” – Tell the kiddos that what you’d really like for Mother’s Day is to have an hour where everyone quietly entertains themselves in their own rooms and no one bothers anyone else. No fighting, no asking for snacks, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get it.
  • Sensory time – If you have little kids, pull out the Play-Doh or give them some bowls, cups, spoons and oats to play with. Seems simple, but it’ll keep them entertained.
