Halloween is just a couple of weeks away. Have you ever thought wouldn’t it be awesome to have the whole family go as the same theme. To be honest I don’t even know where to start with a family theme. Some moms manage to get their entire family to coordinate semi-elaborate group Halloween costumes that leave the rest of us wishing we could do it too. So if you’re not one of “those moms,” but want to pull off a group costume for your family, this is what you need to know, according to a mom who makes it happen every year with her little kids, husband, and dog.
Let older kids be part of the process – Babies and really young kids don’t have opinions about the costumes, but when they’re preschool age, they’ll have ideas about what everyone should be and the whole thing will go more smoothly if they feel involved.
Be prepared to spend time and money – You may be able to find everything you need for all the costumes on Amazon Prime, but it’s expensive when you’re dressing up three, five, or more people. But if you DIY, you’ll spend hours on prep, so either way it’s going to cost you.
Don’t let the costumes ruin the fun – Who cares if you nail the perfect family Halloween costume if no one’s having a good time? Keep it all in perspective and remember having fun is what matters.
