Last night was finally the hometown dates! Only four guys left after last week’s dumping spree, and though things are heating up, Hannah B still has mixed feelings about the group.
Here’s what happened:
The episode kicked off with the rose ceremony. Hannah gave roses to Peter and Tyler, but couldn’t decide what to do with the final rose. Most fans probably wanted to see Luke go, but Hannah still wanted to give him another chance – even after the bologna incident. In the end, she didn’t end up giving out the final rose.
First up was Peter the Pilot. He and Hannah headed to Westlake Village, California. They went for a drive in Peter’s Mercedes, which he calls his “baby.” That led to the hysterical moment Hannah found a condom in a compartment. Then, Peter took her flying in a small plane, where they shared a mid-air kiss… although we were a little worried about Peter being distracted from operating the plane.
As for Peter’s family, they were an eclectic bunch. They said a German prayer before chowing down on Cuban food, and got emotional talking about Peter’s grandparents. All in all, it was a good visit. By the end, Hannah said she could see herself with Peter by the end of the season – luckily for her, Peter had already confessed that he’s falling in love with her.
Then it was Tyler’s turn. Tyler and Hannah went to Jupiter-Florida, where they had a great time on a boat – again. Things were heating up, it’s clear they have great physical chemistry, but Hannah’s still wondering if he’s marriage material. They also did some dancing at a local restaurant, and Hannah technically did a stage dive! … into Tyler’s arms, that is.
Tyler and his dad Jeff had an emotional moment remembering health issues Jeff had – he actually almost died two months before taping began on “The Bachelorette.” But Jeff was happy to see his son so happy – and he owed that to Hannah.
Then it was finally time for Luke. Hannah was taken to Gainesville, Georgia. What may have been a big surprise for fans is that literally everyone in Luke’s hometown loves him. Luke opened up about his past full of drinking, partying and romping… a big contrast to the “Sunday School” prayer group he was taking Hannah to! Hannah liked seeing the good side of Luke for once.
Then they met Luke’s fam! They were a little shocked to hear about all the drama he’s stirred up this season, and gave him a good roasting. But some good came out of the visit, Luke apologized to Hannah and told her that he’s going to show her he could be her future husband. Cool, prove it already!
Oh, and Hannah said she’s falling in love with Luke. But when he was toasting at dinner, Luke flip-flopped between being “in love” with Hannah and “starting to love” her… so we’re all still confused.
Last but not least, Hannah visited Jed’s hometown of Tennessee. The two went to a recording studio to write a song together, where Jed confessed his love for her. Then they went to meet his family – plus, the family dog!
The family didn’t exactly warm up to Hannah. Jed’s dad Jerry was worried about the future of Jed’s music career, his mom Gina questioned if Hannah’s already fallen in love with some of the other guys, and his sister straight up said she wasn’t sure about the match. But remember Colton Underwood’s season with Cassie? Just because the fam doesn’t approve at first doesn’t mean they can’t find a happy ending!
But even Hannah felt uneasy about the match. She’s aware of the drama around his previous relationships and said there’s been a “few alarms” set off in her head already.
Then it was time for the rose ceremony. Pilot Peter got the first rose, then Tyler… but it looks like the pressure is really getting to Hannah. Before she could pick between Jed and Luke for the final rose, she walked off in a tearful panic but then came and gave both Jed and Luke a rose. Next week it’s the one we have all been waiting for FANTASY SUITES and it might also be the one where Hannah finally sends Luke Home!
