Due to NBA finals the Bachelorette aired on Tuesday night. We are in week 5. The show picked up where we left off last week with both Luke’s going at it.
Luke P kept up his claims that Luke S isn’t on the show for the right reasons, and Luke S insisted that it’s all BS. Eventually, Hannah felt like the rest of us – fed up. She stormed out of the confrontation.
Then it was finally time for the rose ceremony that would’ve happened last week. That’s when the Luke beef came to a head – Luke S sent himself home, his last word to Hannah being a warning to keep her eye on Luke P, who will from now on just be known as Luke. Garrett, Tyler and Jed got roses last episode so they’re safe. The ones sent home were Matteo and the only contestant with three names, John Paul Jones.
Then Hannah told the guys they were off to…Scotland!
Hannah still knows there are a bunch of red flags that surround Luke P. However, her heart still wants him around. So we will see how much longer he can last, especially since he keeps bashing the other guys.
Mike got the first one-on-one date overseas. He and Hannah tried some haggis, tasted some whiskey and explored the city – they totally bonded. By the end of the date, Mike told Hannah that he could see himself getting down on one knee for her “within a few weeks.” So, duh, she gave him a rose.
Next up was the group date. Devin, tyler, Jed, Dylan, Grant, Connor, Dustin, Kevin and Garrett duked it out with some ax-throwing, milk-bucket-carrying, and more traditional Scottish games… and they tried on kilts. Honestly, Hannah was better with the ax than most of the guys. Jed ended up winning the competition, and he got the group date rose.
Then it was time for Hannah and Luke’s one-on-one… and it did not go very well, as you might’ve expected. She got real about how the other guys are saying things about Luke that worry her, but he denied everything.
Hannah got frustrated that he wouldn’t open up, after practically begging him to. She feels like there’s “something there” with Luke but can’t break through his walls. She also admitted that she didn’t want to send Luke home… but that he’s officially on “thin ice” because she’s already sent home all of the other guys that got her PO’d.
Things got a little better between Hannah and Luke as the date went on. They explored a castle together, and Luke ended up telling Hannah that he loves “everything” about her… even her “flaws.” Wait, what? Yes, she couldn’t believe it either. She even said at one point it’s like you are a robot. She said I don’t know if you like Mac and Cheese or Spaghetti more? You would think at that point you would say, but he just seemed to ignore the question.
It’s safe to say Hannah is still confused about where she stands with Luke. She didn’t give him a rose, and the episode ended on another cliff hanger. Next week it seems that something big goes down. It seems to get to the point that Hannah may want to quit the show.
